Week 19: Toys, toys, toys and our first real laughter! It is just too funny when Mami and Daddy try to repeat what we say. We can't help but laugh at them. And they're so pleased when we laugh that we do it more and more often. We also grab at everything that is within view and if we get hold of it, then before you know it it's in our mouths. Oma's cheese sandwich came close to being our next victim; if she'd rather eat it herself, she shouldn't hold it in front of us like that! We're getting better at sitting, too. We can't do it alone yet, but we help people pull us up, and we're looking forward to being able to sit on our own. It's so much fun! When there's no one there to help us sit, we roll from side to side. Lying on our backs is so boring!
This week, we went swimming for the first time. The courses are all full, so we'll have to wait a few more months, but that's OK because the air was pretty cold between the changing room and the pool. But it was certainly a very exciting experience!
